SPRING SPORTS CHANGES
|► A makeup date for the postponed HS Baseball and Fastpitch games with Columbia has been set for Tuesday, May 2 @ Columbia (Hunters) starting at 2:00
► The home Baseball doubleheader with LV Rogers that was scheduled for Tuesday, May 2, has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 4, at 3:00
► The Track league championships that were scheduled for Tuesday, May 2, will now be held on Wednesday, May 3, at Ritzville. Field events @ 3:00 - Running events @ 4:00.
BRYANNA LYNN SARGENT SCHOLARSHIP
The Bryanna Lynn Sargent ScholarshipIn honor of Bryanna’s spirit of kindness toward others, this scholarship will be awarded to a Selkirk senior who has demonstrated unselfish acts of compassion toward others in the school or community. The recipient must be attending college, trade, or technical school after graduation, and may be nominated by staff, students, community members, or himself/herself. Nomination forms are available from the high school office. Please nominate a senior who has gone out of their way to show kindness to others! Please place all nominations in a sealed envelope and give to Mrs. Jane Reed at the high school by May 17th.

EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR
Beginning in 1999, the Selkirk School District Board of Directors has recognized one staff member each year as “Educator of the Year”. On June 8, 2016 at an assembly with students in grades 6-12, the Superintendent Nancy Lotze announced that this year’s Educator of the Year was Cathy McGeorge, the district’s sole special education teacher.
